WPSS director Hiroshi Miyazawa (Miya) and his NZ U20 side have rounded off preparations for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland in impressive style.

Following a good showing against a strong Korean outfit in a 1 all draw last weekend, the NZ U20 have secured a confidence boosting 3 - 1 win over fellow World Cup finalists, Mexico.

Star of the show was WPSS graduate Sarpreet Singh who netted twice in the first half of the final hit out before the tournament begins this weekend.

Miya is happy with how the preparations have gone and thinks the camp has been a great success in not only building the team on the pitch but also forming a strong bond off it.

The squad now travel to Lublin which is the venue of the Kiwi boys opening game against Honduras.
